The road to the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations will pass through Yaoundé as young football talents from Central Africa gather for the U-20 AFCON Qualifiers – UNIFFAC Zone.

A Platform for Central Africa's Young Talents
Youth competitions such as the UNIFFAC qualifiers provide more than just competitive football. They offer an important platform for young players to gain international experience, test themselves against players from neighbouring countries and attract the attention of clubs, scouts and football development organisations.
For scouts and talent-identification platforms, the tournament represents an opportunity to follow emerging players and assess their technical ability, tactical understanding, physical qualities, mentality and potential for progression.
Yaoundé Ready to Welcome the Next Generation
As the host city, Yaoundé will become a meeting point for football stakeholders from across the region during the tournament.
The competition is expected to generate significant interest among local supporters, academies, scouts and football professionals looking to discover the next generation of Central African football talent.
At Afriq Foot Scout, we will continue following the tournament and highlighting emerging talents who make an impression on the pitch.
The Road to 2027 Begins Now
For the young players involved, every match represents an opportunity to make an impression. Strong performances at this level can become an important step in a player's development and international career.
